Question Difference in Common rail 5.9 injectors?

What is the difference between the 2003-2004.5 and later 5.9 injectors?

All I can tell is a 20HP difference in the two engines. 305 vs. 325

I was wondering if maybe I can use the later injector in my 03 and just accept the 20 HP gain. I was going to go with 50HP nozzles, but these may be just as good. I don't want any smoke, I'm happy with the lack of smoke I have with the stock injectors. MPG is the goal!

    Spenser? Stu?

    Early cr ran a 124* I believe while 4.5+ ran a 140* spray pattern,

The hp difference is programming in the ecm mostly,

And you can NOT use the 4.5+ injectors they will spray outside the bowl and you will have a meltdown.

Suck it up and do the upgrade

Check into the Bosch Motorsport injectors they are about the best you can get for your money at the moment, when looking for a 50 hp injector that is . Shoot me a message if you would like some pricing

Ive got some early commonrail nozzles sitting here. 30% 50% and 100% overs. 30% would do great for mileage
