    2022 RAM Cummins 6.7L 3500 - Engine Issues?

So, going to work this morning, it was extremely cold.

While driving to work, I got a DPF warning to see a dealer and a service warning.

My fuel rail pressure was 5 psi, and my IAT was 950 degrees, according to my Edge monitor.

The truck is completely stock for now.

    It still has a warranty.

As soon as it started spitting and sputtering, I cut it off and got it towed to the dealership.

They can’t see it until next weds.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue is?

It's really hard to say without any trouble codes.

The Edge readings are very strange.

If the rail pressure were 5 psi, the engine would not start or run.

If it were the lift pump pressure, that would be more realistic.

The intake air temperature reading was extremely high at 950*F, which could be a stuck open EGR valve or a stuck on grid heater.

The only thing that makes any sense is the DPF warning.

    You have peeked my curiosity.

    Please keep us posted.

Yeah, I find it strange and confusing.

The trouble code was low fuel rail pressure.

    It still drove somewhat, LOL.

I just shut it down and got it towed to be safe.

Whenever I notice something different when it is extremely cold, I always suspect fuel first, especially treatments or the lack thereof.

My 01 was very bitchy yesterday at -10, but after warmup comes around.

I treat the heck outta my fuel.

1 gel up 35 years ago was enough for me.

I don’t know about the other stuff you’re experiencing, but I suspect fuel first.

I never went crazy in the cold.

The only difference was I had it plugged in this time.

I usually don’t have to plug it in.

Usually, a trooper starts in the cold.

It's kind of odd that I actually plugged in the truck, and this happens, LOL.

Are there any aftermarket fuel filters in the Windstream without a heater?

    That is downright frosty temps!

Also, what dose are you using?

I use Hotshot, but go with max dose.

Also, my edge tuner has shown erroneous readings when really hot or really cold.

I know you said had it towed, just brainstorming on my past experiences.

I might even wonder about batteries at that temp.

I also do the max dose.

    The truck is complete stock.

Waiting for the warranty to finally end.

I already have a long list, LOL, but it’s completely stock.

I am really, really curious and perplexed, at this point.

    How many miles?
