Installing Thursday.
Haven't been able to get the time, but it looks rugged.
I called and Greg answered and could answer any questions.
He builds them himself and is very helpful.

Did he happen to mention at what point a retune would be needed?

As long as it's VGT you shouldn't have to retune.
That's what I was told
Sweet.
Keep us posted on how the installation goes and how the truck likes it.
Always nice to have info on replacement VGTs for when the stock one goes out.
I was always partial to the Fleece, but now this with the billet actuator etc, seems like a nice replacement unit.

If you jump up from a 64mm to a 67mm, you'll want a retune.
If you're staying stock size, your golden, unless you jump up on injector size as well.

Yes, and the cost is decent, too.
After talking to Gary, I changed my mind from Fleece to his.
All right, I got the 63/67 GT turbo and city diesel actuator installed.
I love this thing.
Excellent product and sends everything you need to put it in, except for a Fleece drain tube.
It was a pain getting the old one out.
Had to loosen the motor mount and jack it up about 3/4 of an inch.
Could've cut the turbo bolts and not have to mess with the engine mount, but I didn't have a cut-off wheel.
Right on!
I saw Dark Iron Diesel do a turbo swap just the other day.
Went through the wheel well and didn't even take the tire off.
Let us know how it drives and if you tow or not.![]()
