Water Pump Replacement - Options / Advice?

2018 3500 RAM, with a 123000 miles, and did a diet about 4 years ago.

Today, after about 2 hrs of empty Hwy driving, I noticed coolant dripping out of the front of the motor.

I assume the water pump went out.

    Driving temps were around 195.

The coolant reservoir is a little low but not empty.

Do you have any suggestions or advice on replacement options or upgrades?

    Thank you!

Stick with an OEM water pump and not some cheap aftermarket from Autozone or Advanced.

    Thank you.

    Is this the OEM part?

Does anyone make a more reliable version than the OEM?

    ie Bullettproof, etc?

Yes, that is the correct OEM water pump.

The Bullet Proof pump in the link below has very good reviews, but I don’t have any personal experience with it.

    123k miles seems pretty reliable.

    I would stay OEM.

    I just can’t justify $400 for a water pump.

When they go, you typically drop the belt, which kills power steering & brakes.

Without those, it’s pretty hard to drive it long enough to run too hot.

You may also want to inspect your coolant riser pipe.

They tend to start leaking over time after a weight loss program.

Thank you all for the advice!

I just ordered the Mopar pump, and I’ll check out the riser pipe as well.

    Thanks again!!

I have had just as good luck with NAPA pumps as OEM, for what it's worth.
