Ok so I just deleted my truck with the raceme ultra last week and now I'm having a tpms malfunction, tech says he has to flash the truck. What should I do? Just return it to stock and let him reflash then load the tune back in?

Ask the tech first if what they have to do involves rewriting the engine tune for tpms adjustment. I don't think that it does and that would mean you wouldn't need to return to stock. However, if they are going to reflash PCM, then yes it would be best to return to stock prior to going in and reprogram afterwards.

This is a good question to ask any time you take a tuned truck to the dealer for service.... deleted or not. Most dealerships are in the habit of checking for update as part of their routine checklist when doing oil changes and such. Most consumers would never care but for those running tuners it can cause real problems.

Found out a long time ago, when going tothe dealers or if your in a state with smog checks ....
Just put the truck back to stock, let them do what has to be done, go home and put the tune back in.
Saves so many headaches.
What if you're deleted? You can't go back to stock without getting every emissions related CEL.

One time I went in for an oil change and the dealer needed to do an ECM flash. They knew I was deleted and just asked me to return the truck to stock, let them flash the truck and then I retuned the truck before leaving. It's all about being up front with them about your modifications.
Staying up to date on ECM updates is crucial to maintaining the factory warranty. They had no problem giving me time and space to remove and replace my tuner so they could do what they needed to do.

I'm assuming they didn't start the truck after the truck was set to stock and that it was not started until after you reinstalled the tune, right? I have 4 recalls sitting for my truck, I'm just agonizing over letting the nitwit dealers touch it. I haven't had very good experiences with dealer warranty work.

That's right. Parked it, returned to stock, let them install the updates and then retuned before starting. That dealership only let the Diesel Techs work on diesel trucks and both were pro-deletes which made everything a lot easier.
