2015 Ram 2500 ctd 4wd Crew Cab Suspension Lift

Hey everyone, after looking through all of the suspension topics I couldn't find anything regarding my specific truck so if I'm repeating another topic just let me know and I'll delete.

I'm curious what size lift I should go with and if one size has more issues than another? I'm looking for an even balance between performance and looks. I'd like to run either a 35 or 37 inch tire. I know this will probably generate a lot of opinions, but that's what I'm looking for. Thanks, and any info would be much appreciated.

I think i'm looking for the same thing as you. I want some lift without compromising to much functionality. Im looking at a 4.5" lift and 35" tires. Good looks from what the internet pics tell me, without being so high and over tired to severely reduce trailering capabilities.

There's almost an infinite number of options available here. Without really knowing what you want to do with the truck, full specs on wheels/tires you want to run, an approximate lift height, it's hard to know where to start. For a lot of guys a leveling kit and 35's is the most they want to do to keep the truck practical. If you're wanting to pull 5th wheel or gooseneck trailers that's probably what you'll want to stick with. Other guys (such as myself) run an 8" lift and 37's as a daily driver and it works great for what I need the truck to do. If you could give us some more information about what you're wanting to do that will help narrow down a proper setup for you.

Well im not going to be pulling a 5th wheel anytime soon. I'm not against a leveling kit and 35's but would like at minimum a 4" lift. I don't want anything higher than a 5" lift.

Re: 2015 Ram 2500 ctd 4wd Crew Cab Suspension Lift

I would recommend a BDS 4" lift, either a radius arm drop or a 4-link swap depending on what you want to do/spend. Then for wheels and tires I'd personally do 22x12's and 35x12.5's but everyone has their own opinion on wheel/tire sizing and what they think looks good. Because you have 3.42 gears 35's will already making your gearing extremely low so unless you plan to regear I probably wouldn't go to 37's. I found 37's and 3.73's to already be unbearable.

So what your saying is you wouldn't recommend 37's because I would have to re-gear my truck? I was looking at 20X10 with 35's and leveling kit but don't want any rubbing or have to do any trimming.
