Manifold bolts broke off in head

Ok-here we go again! 2 days ago I decided to do a little routine maintenance on my 2008 Dodge 4500. I went ahead and replaced the CCV filter and while I was doing it I noticed a little soot under the hood. Got to checking and had 4 manifold bolts snapped off in the head. My buddy has seen this come through his shop several times and informed me that my manifold was warped, hence the broken bolts. So rather than put the factory expensive junk back on, James from Rollin Smoke has shipped me a BD manifold.

Also, my exhaust brake is nearly nonexistent. Is there anything else I should look for to fix that problem while I've got it torn apart? There's an exhaust manifold pressure sensor snapped off next to the thermostat housing. The metal line on the manifold runs to it. Could that affect my exhaust brake?
This is the sensor in question. Actually it's the new one that I didn't buy at the dealership. For $319. I found the Cummins pn and looked online-found it for less than $20 on multiple websites. Nice to know the dealership marked it up like 1000%.

Re: Manifold bolts broke off in head

Got the new 2 piece BD Manifold on today.
It wasn't as easy as some make it out to be. The need to put a single stud into the head behind the turbo flange was a REAL mother. By doing this it prevented me from dropping the manifold straight down the way the factory one came out. And just so y'all know, that big *** he351 turbo is wedged in tight-so it doesn't allow much movement. But it's possible with a ratchet strap and a pry bar. All I can say is, guys with emissions stuff still installed would have a hell of a lot more trouble. I've got it nearly buttoned up so it's nearly Miller time.

Update for you guys. Got everything re-checked on the truck and everything looks great. But still no exhaust brake. I asked a guy at a local diesel shop about that exhaust manifold pressure sensor being broke off and he said if my truck is full deleted, then I don't need that sensor and it has nothing to do with the exhaust brake. Well, it's a funny thing- my $30 eBay sensor came in yesterday and I installed it today. The exhaust brake works perfectly now. If you're having exhaust brake trouble-weak, nonexistent- DO NOT BUY THIS SENSOR FROM YOUR DEALERSHIP! They want $319 for it! Go to eBay and search for it. Just make sure the country of origin is Mexico not China and you'll have yourself a brand new, genuine Cummins part for $20-$40. If you get the one from China I heard it requires a small amount of rice to be burned with the diesel.
