I'd like to know if there is one also.
I usually just added little by little until I had it running the way I wanted

    Re: Timing Calculator

The best timing calculator is watching and listening to what your engine tells you. The timing calculator as far as a formula just merely shows how much fuel is injected BTDC vs ATDC. The old rule of diesel is 50%, meaning 50% before TDC and 50% after. However this simply doesn't take in effect the real world results. You can't compute the point of ignition which is the fundamental factor in timing the engine.

Yes that makes sense. A 50/50 split didn't sound realistic to me. Do you recommend adjusting timing first, then adding fuel?

Do you add timing to the entire table or just in certain areas? I'm wanting to run a max of around 29 or so

There are quite a few variables that play a factor such as what rpms are your turbo and engine most efficient. Also what level tune you are trying to make such as how much power your wanting to put to it.

I'm still learning myself but I'll be more than happy to send tunes back and forth with you. This way it's easier to see than it is for me to try and type it.
Pm me if you want to share tune files, maybe we can learn from one another.
