    Bad Fuel Mileage 2012 2500

Hey guys not sure why it took me so long to finally post about this but my fuel mileage is pretty bad compared to others that I've noticed. I get about 11-12 city and maybe 1 mpg higher on the highway. Truck is fully deleted. I used to have an edge tuner with my deletes so I had to use sims which are still plugged into the truck. Now I have a raceme so I obviously don't need them anymore. A guy told me my sims could be the issue that it messes with the fueling and could be hurting my fuel economy. Can any shed some light on this? I would've taken them out already but one of them is gonna be really tough to get out

wehdn my mileage tanked on my '12 it turend out that my MAP sensor was caked with soot. I ordered a replacement from Geno's and my mileage came back instantly.

Have you adjusted the size of your tires in the tuner? When I switched to 35s my mileage dropped to 12ish until I changed it in my Ultra. Now I'm getting around 15.

I'm running a tuner, still have my SIMs installed on my truck and my milage is much better than the numbers you posted. I just don't see how the SIMs can be causing this. The RaceME fools the ECU to ignore those sensors all together.

Adjusting for tire size is a possibility like @4kids2dogs&RV suggested. What size tires and wheels are you running?

Also, how many miles did you run with the SIMs and the Edge? SIMs only turn off the DPF but leave the EGR functional. So unless the Edge had a way to disable the EGR, it is possible that you have buildup in the grid heater and/or intake horn. This could also contribute to the poor milage you are describing.

I maybe had the edge for a couple thousand miles. I had my DPF deleted at that point but just recently had my egr deleted. The previous owner put about 80k miles on it bone stock. My old map sensor was clogged with soot completely when I replaced it so it very well could be the intake horn/grid heater. I'll take it off when I get time. How do I clean it?

Forgot to add that I'm running 35's on 20's but yes I've adjusted the tire size

I haven't had to do mine yet so no personal experience. I have watched a few YouTube videos and it looks messy and time consuming but not too difficult.

here's my intake horn with throttle valve attached. I tried pushing the throttle valve down and it gets stuck on all the soot
