    Throttle valve delete

Question for you gurus I was online shopping for a delete kit for a cab and chassis. One of the throttle valve delete kits was a canister instead of the block off plate. Why is this and why haven't I seen this before is it a new design. I'm pretty sure it was a sinister delete and the guy on the phone said it allowed for better circulation? The truck is a '17 C&C.

This is the part I was talking about. Throttle valve delete for C&C. Heard you could get these with heaters for really cold climates is this a way to open up the grid heater.

I’m not an expert here as I haven’t deleted my truck yet, but are you confusing the throttle valve delete and the egr delete plate? The picture looks like a normal throttle valve delet which would allow for slightly better air flow. Anybody else smarter on this?

Talk to one of our vendors. We ask you use our sponsors. without them, we're nothing.

I prefer the Shibby Engineering setup. The sinister has a tendency to leak. I beta's Shibby years ago. The guy has too much logic built in to his stuff. And it flows extremely well.

That is to eliminate the flapper valve before the intake horn. The plates you are thinking of are for the EGR valve. Two different things. Did that help?

Frankly eliminating the flapper is allot of work and not really necessary. It doesn't restrict any much air. You would gain nothing from it. Although the ego's out there will say differently. If you really want more air flow, do a grid heater delete. There's the bottleneck. But if you do that, you don't have any cold weather support. If you don't go cold, it's doesn't matter. Did that make sense? LOL

Ye 10-4 I was a little off there I went out and looked at my other truck and found where it goes just for clarity for myself. Drivers side of the engine on top of intake horn what is the correct name for that part. I understand it's part of the egr but don't know the correct name.

I wish I could use DRD he doesn't tune C&C but will be ordering other parts from our wonderful vendors.

    Re: Throttle valve delete

Ok another quick question. On my other two trucks the egr block off plate in the rear came or tapped for egt probe. On the cab and chassis kit the egr only needs one block off plate and it's in the rear but it does not come pre tapped. Is there a reason for this. Can I just drill and tap it pre install. I know going into the manifold will give a more accurate reading but for my purposes I feel the block off plate will suffice. Curious why they don't already come tapped though. Thanks
