    MM3 Issue Maybe?

Has anybody dealt with an issue like this before?

I'm not sure how to search this one up.

Hit the buttons, and it switches the illumination, so the touch screen portion is working, but it is locked on this screen and won't proceed or beep.

Also, it does not turn off automatically with the key off.

This is a new one to me.

Try disconnecting the plug off the OBD2 and try to do a restart perhaps?

Only other thing I could suggest, unplug other connections from the MM3 and remove the SD card and reinsert, and give it a go.

Otherwise, might give MM3 "Dirk" an email or call.

Might be helpful attaching the link in the email as well.

Try unplugging it from the OBD port and plug it back in.

That will reboot it like any computer or phone.

Maybe that will resolve the issue.

Yeah, I unplugged everything overnight, and there was no change. It finally went back to the gauge screen, so I'm scared to mess with it.

I will try splitting the screen case and cleaning the perimeter well, as I think there's a chance it may be registering multiple touches due to debris around the edges.

I did reach out to MM3, and they said to send all of it to them. I have emailed a little back and forth since.

It's a bummer that it's not that old, but I'll have to buy a new one if it's faulty, and my options are limited, so they'll get my money again for the same product.

Anyway rant over. Can anyone tell me if my truck is operable if the box under the dash needs to be removed?

I know the OBD plug and screen can be pulled, but I'm unsure if everything can be removed without bricking it for weeks.

Yes, you can remove everything as the PCM is programmed.

My understanding is that you will default to the lowest HP tune.

If it freezes up like before, then I would send it back to MM3.

Maybe since it’s newer, they will replace it for you?

    Re: MM3 Issue Maybe?

Well, guys, I was off to Mexico, so I sent the screen out to mm3.

I had some issues with my old man's 21 outside Vegas.

I'm not sure where the Ihadacummins part of the forum is, but yeah.

Bone stock has no rhyme or reason or warning.

Anyway, back to the MM3, I got a replacement screen back and installed it worked great.

I tried to load the tune, and it errored out at labout12%, then errored out at about 6% while trying to recover the stock tune, it said.

Now it says it can't start programming the ECM.

The ECM is not an application mode.

I spoke with MM3, and per their recommendation, I disconnected the batteries as instructed.

I reconnected and added a charger.

When I go into the ECM menu, it loads the screen and says to turn it on, but it messes up.

If I unplug the OBD and reconnect, it switches back to the ECM, which is not in application mode.

MM3 says they can get me a recovery file, but it comes out of Italy so that it couldn't have happened yesterday, so hopefully, today.

I'm hoping that the recovery file that was discussed will fix the issue.

Man, I'm sorry to see that.

Did the truck have the trans-dipstick recall done?

I know that was a cause for trucks catching on fire.
